Review:There are limitations which they do not tell you initially. But after you get involved - deposit funds, open positions - you face these limitations and they can cause a lot of trouble:
- max number of open positions: 50
- max number of active orders: 100
- max number of closed positions per 7 days: 200
- some other minor limitations

When a limitation is reached, a dialog box appears in their client application saying about the limitation. Afterwards you can not place orders.

Review:I don't have problems with server,my only worry is if i can withdraw the money from them but when i read on google about finativa, witch is te comapny how owns the marketiva,is see this:

"Brokerage house Basileus, which is repurchasing the bonds of old foreign currency savings of citizens with a maturity date in 2016 and 2017 on behalf of the Montenegrin Government, changed its name to Finativa broker.

This brokerage house concluded a contract with the Ministry of Finance in May, on the early repurchase of the bonds at the price of 50 cents.

Citizens interested in the sale need to go to Finativa broker with the proof of ownership, i.e. statement from the Central Depository Agency and sign a contract on sale.

The Government’s decision on the repurchase was adopted so that the interested owners of bonds could realise them before the maturity deadline."

soo i think is no soo bad

Review:Stupid broker with stupid platform...

Scam detected:
No physical address
No contact number
Typical a bucket shop broker

Bad business practice:
- Slippage 1-3 pips when you close a position
- spread can go up to 40-50 pips during the news
- can not place orders more than 10 trades in a 4 hours period
- can not place orders more than 200 trades in a week period
- they mute you on the chat channel if you give a winning signal too many times
- one of that SL hunter broker

oh well.. don't know what else to say about this broker... just plain sux...

Review:the problem with marketiva is their server, there is always error when you try to enter a position, too slow and sometimes you need to restart the software. when it happens for the first time, you might blame your internet connection. yet, it happened for almost all the time. i did not claim marketiva as a scam but they should have improved on it.

Review:naturally i wuld give then an ok rating cos of fast withdrawals, but after experiencing what i did, i would call them a scam.

they actually reversed all my profits i made trading gold, about $4000. their reason was that their price feed was wrong and they reserved the right to reverse trades.

after asking various traders, i discovered dat the decision was not uniform accross all accounts, so dat means its only those of us dat made huge profit dat their trades were reversed n they probably left those dat lost during the same trading period.

that should tell u where their ethics lie.

if u r a newbie n u hav a small acct, no prob. but if u r a serious trader, run like hell frm them

Review:I think now marketiva have upgraded their server. I do not encounter anymore problem accessing the platform.

So disregard my earlier comments.

2008-06-25 1 Star What happen to the platform? Since 23th June 2008 it seemed that Marketiva had disappeared. No notice, no e-mails, leaving us like dumbos.

Very dangerous platform.

Review:Marketiva has one of the best customer care in Fx market. It is very good for beginners. There deposit system is very fast and good.The have the following shortcomings;
Server problem especially during news time.
Very high spread during news time at times up to 30pips for GBP/JPY- GBP/CHF etc
There margin call at times will clear everything including your used margin probably to pay for commission which they dont charge.
Limits on short tradings.

Apart from the above, they are Ok. I give them 3stars.
